The Canadian low-fare leisure carrier Sunwing Airlines has selected airline retailing software provider Radixx International for customer service and operational efficiency, retailing and ancillary revenue solutions.

Radixx said it was selected by the airline due to the system’s ability to quickly integrate with their packaging system, which will allow the airline to streamline many business processes while enabling seamless GDS and airport connectivity.

Along with the Radixx e-commerce retailing platform, the software provider said this capability will allow Sunwing’s customers to customise their journeys by selecting their seats, checking in online and other self-service capabilities.

Janine Massey, chief marketing technology officer for Sunwing Airlines said: “Radixx is an ideal platform for our airline as the system will allow us to streamline our business needs. Our airline is always looking for the most innovative ways to deliver top-quality service to passengers, and in that way Radixx was a clear partner of choice. We are thrilled to have Radixx as a valuable strategic partner to our airline.”

Radixx said it will be able to support the airline’s traditional and hybrid needs as it supports all business models with a customisable IBE and complete enterprise system, catering to the needs of hybrid, ultra-low cost and traditional airlines, including the support of GDS distribution.
