Specialising in maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) and FBO services, West Star has announced the completion of its new 60,000 sq. ft. hangar at the St. Louis Regional Airport, near East Alton in Illinois, US.

“We are excited to expand our East Alton facility,” said Scott Sweeney, general manager, West Star Aviation. “Having a new hangar provides us the added capacity to continue offering world-class service to our customers and ensure we meet requested deadlines,” Sweeney added.

Featuring 40,000 sq. ft of hangar space and an additional 20,000 sq. ft of back shop and office spac,e the new facility will enable West Star to expand upon existing aircraft maintenance programmes. The full-service FBO will initially employ 28 technicians to support the expansion, in addition to their existing hiring efforts.

In addition to its MRO services, West Star also provides complete FBO services for transient aircraft both at its newly modelled facility at East Alton and at Grand Junction in Colorado. Additional primary locations include: Chattanooga, Tennesse; and Perryville, Missouri. Satellite facilities are also offered at Aspen-Pitkin County Airport in Aspen, Colorado; Chicago Executive Airport in Chicago; Centennial Airport in Denver, Colorado; Conroe-North Houston Regional Airport in Houston, Texas; Minneapolis/ St. Paul International Airport in Minneapolis and Scottsdale Airport in Scottsdale, Arizona.
