Timisoara Airport in Romania has welcomed a new airline, Eurowings, with the launch of a new route to Stuttgart in Germany.

With this new route, Timisoara Airport becomes Eurowings’ second airport in Romania.

The route was launched on 3 June and will be served during the summer schedule on a three times weekly basis on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

“The presence of a new airline at Timisoara Airport and the introduction of new air travel means new opportunities for both the airport and the citizens of the western region of the country,” commented Daniel Idolu, Timisoara Airport general manager. “As a consequence, the economic attractiveness of the area will increase significantly and for the airport it will mean an increase in passenger numbers and turnover. ”
