TAG Aviation is first FBO in Macau to be granted IS-BAH accreditation

After just six months of operations, TAG Aviation Macau has become the first fixed-based operator (FBO) in Macau to be awarded the International Standard for Business Aircraft Handling (IS-BAH) Stage 1 certification of registration.

The IS-BAH standard is a set of global industry’s best practices in safety management and risk mitigation for business aviation ground handlers. TAG Aviation Macau was granted the certificate by the International Business Aviation Council (IBAC) for its unwavering commitment to safety and quality ground handling.

“We are extremley proud to have become the first IS-BAH accredited FBO based in Macua,” said Rita Tam, general manager, TAG Macau FBO. “It demonstrates to our customers that the TAG Macau FBO team, from ground handling to maintenance services, is totally committed to providing the highest quality of services while adhering to the most stringent safety standards,” she continued.

The rigorous accreditation process involved a third party external audit of the FBO’s safety management systems, emergency and security procedures, organisation structure, training protocols and operating procedures, by an IBAC accredited auditor.

Commenting on the certification and the VIP facility “unquestionably upholds” the same high standards of the wider TAG Aviation Group Dane Williams, director, Aviation Safety Asia, said: “The TAG Macau FBO team should be very proud to have become the first FBO based in Macau to receive IS-BAH accreditation and only the second FBO to obain IS-BAH acreditation in the emerging Greater Bay Area of Southern China.”
