Sky Valet Connect – the label created by fixed-based operator (FBO), Sky Valet, to allow FBOs to maintain their independence, while benefiting from its marketing and commercial expertise – has opened its first-ever establishment in France at Avignon-Provence Airport.

This latest addition to Sky Valet Connect’s platform comes just two months after the label’s launch and the opening of its facilities in Italy and Bulgaria. Its arrival in the business aviation terminal at Avignon-Provence is in line with the FBO’s intentions to expand its presence in Europe throughout 2019.

Covering the Luberon and Provence regions stretching from Montpellier to Marseilles, Avignon-Provence Airport plans to develop its business aviation traffic. The airport is JS-BAH-certified and its hangars are ideally suited to the parking of private aircraft.

We are delighted to join the Sky Valet network, and we are convinced that business aviation will be the major source of growth for Avignon-Provence Airport.

Michel Maridet, director of the Avignon-Provence airport company.

Through its Sky Valet Connect label, Sky Valet is already present at Cuneo Airport, near Turin, a natural extension of the network’s Mediterranean locations. It’s also present in Bulgaria with three destinations – Sofia, Bourgas and Gorna Oryahovitsa – operated by Omega Aviation.

Commenting on the new partnership, Michel Tohane, executive VP of Sky Valet and director of the general aviation BU of the Aéroports de la Côte d’Azur Group, said: “The faith that the operator of Avignon-Provence has shown in Sky Valet Connect reflects our ambition to strengthen our regional coverage in support of the growth of business aviation in Europe. This new destination confirms the strength of our strategy and represents another step forwards in our expansion programme.”
