Munich Airport in Germany has enhanced its appeal for families travelling with children by installing a ‘Kids’ care station’  in the form of a vending machine offering nappies, baby food and snacks  for families travelling with babies and toddlers.

Installed in Terminal 2, the concept is the brainchild of foodji – a Munich-based start-up known for its pick-up stations providing healthy meals from regional suppliers. Three foodji stations are already located in the terminal, but this latest offering means that those travelling with young children and babies now have an assortment of essential items on offer 24/7.

The vending machines offer a convenient solution for passengers on the go as with the foodji smartphone application, individual dishes can be conveniently pre-selected and reserved, so passengers can pick them up later. For those travellers that don’t have the corresponding app on their smartphone, they can also make their selections via touchscreen and pay directly at the pickup station.
