The Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority (MNAA) has added to its executive leadership team, welcoming Marge Basrai, chief financial officer, and Doug Sloan, chief legal officer.
The executive leadership team is responsible for guiding the region’s two airports, Nashville International Airport (BNA) and John C. Tune Airport (JWN). The team includes the recently named president and CEO Doug Kreulen, Robert Ramsey – recently promoted to chief operating officer, and Tom Jurkovich, vice president of strategic communications and external affairs.
“I am pleased to welcome Marge Basrai and Doug Sloan to our newly comprised executive team at the Airport Authority,” said Doug Kreulen, MNAA president & CEO. “They each bring an impressive level of expertise, experience and accomplishment to our organisation, as we work to effectively and responsibly guide our world-class airports into the future.”
He added: “With passenger numbers soaring and a major expansion underway, it’s great to have our new executive team fully in place. Together, we will lead the Airport Authority on a new era of change and growth to better serve Nashville and the greater region.”
Doug Kreulen joined MNAA in 2012 and was named president and CEO in December 2017. He previously served as chief operating officer, where he oversaw operations, facilities maintenance, public safety and development and engineering departments for both Nashville International and John C. Tune airports. Prior to joining MNAA, Kreulen served four years as director of operations for Huntsville International Airport in Alabama.
Margaret Basrai has 17 years of experience in the aviation industry. Before joining MNAA, she served as vice president and controller for Wayne County Airport Authority, which operates Detroit Metropolitan Airport, Willow Run Airport and its airport hotel.
Since 2016 Doug Sloan has served as executive director of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County Planning Department. He previously served as legal counsel in the Office of Flood Recovery under the then Mayor Karl Dean and as an attorney in the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County Legal Department for 14 years.
