Scottish based carrier Loganair has awarded Menzies Aviation a ground handling contract at Manchester Airport.

The aviation logistics specialist will provide ground handling services to the Scottish regional airline’s fleet until July 2022. The Menzies team will handle six flights a day, adding a total of 1,728 flights per year to its portfolio. The company already provides ground handling, cabin presentation and de-icing services to a number of other airlines at Manchester and as a result of the new contract it has been able to offer new employment opportunities at the airport.

“It is a testament to the great work of Menzies employees in Manchester that Loganair have awarded us this three year ground handling contract,” said Giles Wilson, Menzies Aviation CEO. “The team on the ground worked tirelessly hard to deliver a start-up service for Loganair with limited notice, and we are extremely proud of our employees for being so responsive to a new customer’s needs. I look forward to building on our relationship with Loganair.”
