Just ahead of the peak summer holiday period, Malaga Costa del Sol International Airport has welcomed six new food and beverage units courtesy of SSP.

One of Spain’s longest-standing airports, Magala Costa del Sol is operated by the Spanish operator, Aena, and serves as a popular gateway to the Costa del Sol region. In 2018 the airport welcomed more than 19 million passengers.

The new food and beverage units feature renowned international brands. Catering for passengers both landside and airside, two Starbucks units have been added. They complement the SOHO Coffee Co. as well as La Boutique, which offers homemade, fresh Italian food, and the fast-food chain Burger King, all of which opened in April. The airport is also now home to its first concept from UK chef Jamie Oliver – Jamie’s Deli.

“With its reputation as a popular destination for many holidaymakers, Malaga Costa del Sol is the perfect location for us to open new sites for our range of highly-recognisable international brands,” said Blanca Ripoli, managing director of SSP Spain. “We are honoured to be working with Aena to help imporve the overall food and beverage offer at the airport,” she added.
