Southampton Airport is all set to welcome its first easyJet flight later in the year. From December Europe’s leading low-fare airline will serve the new route from the UK’s south coast to Geneva.
It will be the first time the airline has ever operated flights from Southampton and will provide travellers from across the region with additional options for winter ski holidays, or connecting through the Swiss hub.
The airline expects to fly over 10,000 passengers a year in the first winter on the flights, which will operate three times a week throughout the winter on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays on an Airbus A320 aircraft.
We are very excited to announce that easyJet will be commencing operations to Geneva three times a week from Southampton Airport this winter. I am sure that our customers from across the region will be pleased to have even more choice for reaching the ski slopes from December onwards. We look forward to welcoming easyJet to Southampton later in the year.
