easyJet has launched its first flight to Tenerife from Liverpool John Lennon Airport, offering an additional winter sun destination for passengers from the North West.
The route will be served twice weekly on easyJet’s Airbus A320 aircraft and is expected to carry 8,500 passengers throughout the winter.
Paul Winfield, director of aviation development at Liverpool John Lennon Airport, welcomed the new service to Tenerife and added: “We are sure that the service will prove popular with passengers from across the North West region, and welcome this latest new route with easyJet.”
The inaugural flight marks the 33rd route easyJet operates from Liverpool.
“We’re delighted to be adding Tenerife to easyJet’s range of destinations from Liverpool John Lennon Airport,” said Ali Gayward, UK commercial manager at easyJet. “It’s great to be able to offer our passengers a large range of destinations to choose from for their winter holidays and for those who wish to get some easy and affordable winter sun, and we’re sure Tenerife will continue to be a popular choice.”
