Duncan Aviation-Provo welcomes Bombardier Global Express XRS

Based out of Provo Municipal Airport in Utah, Duncan Aviation-Provo has welcomed its first aircraft into its new maintenance hangar.

Duncan Aviation completed construction and obtained necessary permits for the first hangar earlier this year.

“We have been working hard to prepare and plan for our new maintenance and modifications centre in Provo and we are thrilled to have the first maintenance hangar ready and open for work,” said Chad Doehring, vice president of operations at Provo.

The paint facility is expected to be ready in early spring and a second maintenance and completions hangar structure will follow. By Q2 2020, all of the full-service backshops and offices for the new 275,000 square-foot facility will be completed.

The workscope for the first aircraft, a Bombardier Global Express XRS, includes a 120-month airframe inspection and 10-year landing gear overhaul.

Doehring explained how customer service and expertise is an important element of Duncan Aviation’s offering at its other facilities and maintaining that consistently high level of service at Provo will be key to its success. “Customers consistently tell us they bring their projects to Duncan Aviation because of our people,” he said.

“Our goal was to carefully plan our staffing to expand the overall feeling, culture and experience to our growing base in Provo.”
