With 62,845 passengers travelling through Daytona Beach International Airport (DAB) in June, passenger traffic at the airport increased 8% in comparison with the 58,169 passengers who travelled through the county-operated airport during the same month in 2016.
“June traffic numbers were positive all round,” said airport director, Rick Karl. “Load factor increases were the driving force behind the growth in June.”
For the 12 months ending June 30, the total passenger traffic at DAB has increased 6.4% with 664,820 passengers travelling through the facility last year compared to 707,413 passengers this year.
“With load factors trending up and anticipated capacity increases this fall, we expect the second half of the year to show positive growth. So far this year, load factors have increased for all three airlines, which is an indicator of growing demand,” added Karl.
