International aviation fuel products and service supplier, Air BP, has renewed its fuel supply contract at Blackbushe Airport in the UK.

The regional hub, which caters for a mix of training aircraft, general aviation and business aviation traffic, handles over 30,000 movements each year. Located just 40 miles from Central London, on the borders of Hampshire, Surrey and Berkshire, the airport offers convenient access to the UK capital.

“Maintaining a robust and safe fuelling operation is critical for any aerodrome, and I am pleased that this will continue at Blackbushe in collaboration with Air BP,” said Chris Gazzard, Blackbushe Airport’s manager, commenting on the renewed contract.

Air BP, which currently supplies around 6.5 billion gallons of aviation fuel a year, has been supplying Blackbushe with aviation fuel since 2012 and has since then invested in the installation of a new fuel storage facility and two new fuel bowsers.  The extended partnership underlines the fuel suppliers commitment to general aviation in the UK and will enable customers to continue purchasing Jet A-1 and Avgas 100LL fuel at the airport.

Air BP’s equipment quality and service has been “second to none,” added Gazzard. “We were supported in our previous contract, benefitting from the much-needed investment in the fuelling facilities. We can continue to deliver an excellent quality product. We are excited to continue to welcome Air BP Sterling Card holders.”
