Taking place from 10-13 April at Friedrichshafen Airport on the shores of Lake Constance in Germany, this year’s Aero Friedrichsafen has opened with a record number of exhibitors.  Over 750 exhibitors from 40 countries are attending this year’s show, representing a 7% increase from exhibitor attendance at the show in 2017.

Ahead of the trade fair, Messe Friedrichshafen CEO, Klaus Wellmann, stated: “The AERO in Friedricshafen is Europe’s largest exhibition for general aviation, and with regard to innovations and premieres it’s the industry’s foremost exhibition in the world.”

As an integral area in general aviation, business aviation will be a key focus at this year’s show, with regional airports highlighted as integral to this sector.

For the first time, a special business aviation conference will take place at the expo on Thursday 11 April in cooperation with the German Business Aviation Association GBAA. Presentations and discussions are expected to underline the diverse areas of application for business aircraft and subsequently the relevance of business aviation within the aviation industry as a whole.
