JetBlue Airways has begun flying from Worcester Regional Airport to both Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood and Orlando, becoming the only commercial airline so far to operate at the central Massachusetts facility.
"We are excited to make Worcester our 80th BlueCity, being part of revamping the airport and connecting it with two high-demand destinations, Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood and Orlando," commented Marty St George, JetBlue's senior vice-president marketing and commercial strategy. "The city of Worcester has welcomed us with open arms and with the great support of the community and Massport, we look forward to serving Central Massachusetts with these new routes and hopefully more services in the future."
On the Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood route, flights leave Worcester at 16:25 and reach the Florida airport at 19:39. In the opposite direction, pushback is at 19:32, arriving back in Worcester at 22:30 (all times local).
Orlando flights leave Worcester at 07:30 and land in Fort Lauderdale at 10:33. The return flights takes off at 13:00 and reaches Worcester at 15:38 (all times local).
