WizzAir has announced plans for further expansion in Poland throughout next year.
The airline hopes to deploy two new aircraft in 2015, one based in Poznan and the other in Katowice, bringing the number of aircraft in each location to two and five respectively.
These new aircraft deliveries mean WizzAir’s Poland fleet will consist of 18 Airbus A320s in total, representing 25% capacity growth in 2015 year-on-year.
"Today is another major step forward for Wizz in Poland. In just three weeks we have announced 3 new based aircraft, 13 new routes and 1.4 million additional seats in 2015,” commented József Váradi, CEO of Wizz Air.
“Wizz’s ever expanding network and increasing frequencies on existing routes will certainly attract more passengers traveling on leisure or business. Our growth will generate over 1,400 jobs across Poland and boost tourism across the country," Váradi concluded.
