As part of its 2016 summer schedule, Wizz Air has now introduced twice-weekly flights on Mondays and Fridays from its base at Cluj-Napoca to Munich Memmingen in Bavaria.
Wizz Air will add a fifth aircraft at its Cluj-Napoca base this July. The summer schedule from Cluj-Napoca includes flights to Alicante, Billund, Doncaster/Sheffield and Berlin which are all scheduled to begin in the coming weeks. Wizz Air also recently announced a new domestic Romanian route between Cluj-Napoca and Bucharest that will begin on 22 July 2016 and operate six times a week.
Gabor Vasarhelyi, communications manager, Wizz Air, commented, “Cluj-Napoca remains one of our most important bases and it connects this region with many key European cities. We have been the hometown airline here since 2007 and we continue to offer more seats – we’ll increase capacity 20 percent this year – more routes, more flights and more services to ensure Cluj-Napoca and the whole of Romania have access not only to low fares, but to the superior on-board service you get with Wizz Air.”
