Wizz Air has simplified its flight change process to allow passengers to pay a fee totalling 50% of their original ticket price to change the date or routing of their flight.
The fee (which falls between a minimum of £10 and maximum of £60) does not include any difference in fares and baggage fees between the original and the new flight, which the passenger must also cover.Passengers have the ability to make these changes online, or via the reservations call centre or with airport agents.
“While many economy products don’t allow flight changes, Wizz Air’s low fares are flexible and bookings can be adapted if the travel needs of our customers change,” stated Wizz Air spokesman Daniel de Carvalho. “We are introducing this simplified fee model for flight changes as part of our constant development of better services and processes to give our customers more choice, working to ensure the best travel experience from the time they book until the end of their journey.”
Passengers can avoid the change fee altogether by selecting the Plus Fare when doing their original booking or by purchasing the WIZZ Flex service for just €10 per flight as an extra to the Basic Fare. Both the Plus Fare and Wizz Flex allow an unlimited amount of flight changes.
