Wizz Air has announced a new route between Debrecen and Milan Bergamo which will initially operate with two weekly flights – on Wednesdays and Sundays – from 25 October.
Wizz’s new service is designed to attract customers from Hajdú-Bihar county and also allow Debrecen to promote itself as a travel destination to North Italian consumers. In the opposite direction, travellers from Hungary’s second largest city can enjoy the alpine region, including world class ski resorts and Milan’s beautiful architecture, renowned gastronomy and outstanding shopping possibilities.
József Ujhelyi, head of airport development at Wizz Air commented, “We continue staying committed and focused on developing air traffic at Debrecen Airport, which features excellent low-cost facilities, and today announce excellent news for our customers in Hajdú-Bihar county.”
