From 24 April 2015 Wizz Air will begin operating a new service between Liverpool John Lennon Airport (LJLA) and Riga, with flights taking place twice-weekly on Mondays and Fridays.
Riga will become the airline’s third international route from Liverpool after Gdansk and Warsaw, services which Wizz Air has announced it plans to expand. From 29 March next year the airline will begin operating a third weekly service from LJLA to Warsaw and a third service to Gdansk will also run all year round.
“Wizz Air has been a strong partner of LJLA since they launched at the airport in 2004. It is fantastic news that they are expanding here and shows their confidence in the Liverpool market, creating further links between Liverpool and Central and East Europe,” noted Mark Povall, director of air service development for LJLA.
