Wizz Air is to significantly increase its capacity in Bucharest, adding a fifth aircraft to its operating base from 15 December and increasing the frequencies on many of its popular routes.
The destinations involved are Barcelona (Spain), Milan Bergamo, Rome Ciampino, Catania, Naples (Italy), Paris Beauvais (France), Brussels Charleroi (Belgium), London Luton (UK), Madrid and Valencia (Spain). At the same time, Wizz Air will also launch new routes to Larnaca (Cyprus) and as of summer 2011 to Malaga (Spain).
“Once again having the right business model has proven to deliver great results: we are very satisfied with our business performance in Romania,” explained John Stephenson, executive vice-president of Wizz Air. “Our success proves the critical importance of disciplined cost control and a robust liquidity position, the two pillars that distinguishes Wizz Air’s business model.”
