tttWizz Air has carried over 30 million passengers on its UK routes since the airline launched in May 2004. ttttttIn the UK, Wizz Air flies from nine airports to 14 countries, and in the past six months has launched 13 new UK routes including services from London Gatwick to Bucharest, Doncaster to Cluj and Birmingham to Sofia.ttttttDuring the rest of the financial year, Wizz hopes to grow its UK business by a further 15% as a result of new services connecting London Luton with Suceava, Romania and Doncaster with Sofia, Bulgaria commencing on 19 August and 23 December respectively.tttttt“We’re proud to have reached this major milestone of carrying 30 million passengers – equivalent to half the population of the UK – and we want to thank our loyal customers for continuing to choose Wizz Air for its low fares, diverse and attractive route network from airports across the UK and great service onboard our young fleet,” commented Wizz Air’s CCO, Owain Jones. “It has always been our mission to make travel easy and affordable, and we see a strong future for Wizz Air in the UK.tttttt“Our route network from the UK continues to develop reflecting the demands of our customers who want a wide choice of destinations to give them the opportunity to visit different destinations and enjoy new experience further off the beaten track.
