From 26 and 27 March 2016, Wizz Air will begin operating flights from its Craiova base to Paris Beauvais and Venice Treviso respectively.
The Craiova–Paris Beauvais service will take place on Wednesdays and Sundays, while the Craiova–Venice Treviso flights will run on Mondays and Fridays.
The carrier’s first flight to Craiova took off from London Luton in 2013 and after one year of operations, Wizz Air based one of its Airbus A320s at Craiova Airport. Wizz Air hopes to grow its fleet in Romania to 20 aircraft by the end of 2016, including four new 230-seat Airbus A321s.
Including its new Paris and Venice services, Wizz Air now offers seven routes to four countries from Craiova.
Gabor Vasarhelyi, corporate communications manager at Wizz Air, stated, “As the largest airline in Romania we are thrilled to be adding two new long-awaited routes to our Craiova network. Paris and Venice are both worldwide popular destinations with rich cultural heritage and we are sure Craiova customers will appreciate visiting these beautiful cities on our low fares, while enjoying our excellent onboard service.
“We stay committed to Craiova and keep on expanding our ever-growing network with more attractive services to best meet the needs of our Romanian customers. Our friendly local crew looks forward to welcoming you on board our new Airbus A320 aircraft,” Vasarhelyi concluded.
