Wizz Air has announced further expansion at its Romanian bases Cluj-Napoca and Timisoara.
The airline will deploy a fourth aircraft and launch three new services in Cluj-Napoca from 20 December and double its fleet at Timisoara bringing a second Airbus A320 and four new services to the base from 1 November.
From Cluj-Napoca, all the new flights have a twice-weekly service with the first being to Nuremberg on Wednesdays and Sundays from 1 October. Service to Cologne on Tuesdays and Saturdays starts on 20 December, followed a day later by the beginning of Wednesday and Sunday flights to both Geneva and Malmo.
The new routes from Timisoara are also twice-weekly. The first, on 1 November, will be the Munich Memmingen and Turin services which will each operate on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Flights to Brussels Charleroi (Wednesdays and Sundays) begin a day later. Finally at the end of the working week, the Frankfurt Hahn service, which will operate on Mondays and Fridays, will have its inaugural flight.
