Windrose Aviation will use the Lido/FMS data from Lufthansa Systems for the flight management systems (FMS) on board its A320s, following the signing of a five-year contract.
The FMS database contains important route information including altitude and airport data for optimising routes and supporting autopilots on board modern aircraft. The navigation data, which are based on global aeronautical information, are updated every 28 days according to the AIRAC cycle and can be customised to specific routes and for the use in any type of aircraft.
Windrose Aviation was founded in 2003 and operates scheduled flights from Kiev and L’viv with a fleet consisting of two Embraer 195s, two McDonnell Douglas MD-82s, one Antonov 24 and two Airbus A320s.
