WestJet’s October traffic data announced

WestJet has reported its October 2014 traffic results with a load factor of 77.4 per cent, down by 1.8 percentage points from October 2013’s figure of 79.2%.

Revenue passenger miles (RPMs) increased 6.8% year over year, to 1.576 billion from 1.476 billion, while available seat miles (ASMs) grew 9.2% to 2.035 billion from 1.864 billion for the respective periods.

The airline flew a record 1.6 million passengers in October, a year-over-year increase of 6.0% or approximately 90,000 additional travellers.
