On 3 January 2016, WestJet announced it expected to fly 74,247 passengers across its network, thereby improving on its previous single-day record of 72,240 guests set on July 31 2015.
“As the busy holiday travel season winds down, we thank our guests for their loyalty and support,” commented Bob Cummings, WestJet’s EVP commercial. “We also thank our more than 11,000 WestJetters for their hard work, dedication and caring service as we all work together to get our guests home safely.”
WestJet also recently marked another milestone, flying its 20 millionth guest in a single year on 27 December 2015.
