WestJet has announced a renewed and expanded agreement with GuestLogix for the latter to manage the airline’s onboard retail programmes, continuing the relationship which has supported secure onboard transactions for the airline for more than 7 years
WestJet will continue to use the GuestLogix retail platform as well as PCI-compliant handheld POS devices to do food and beverage sales on its flights to more than 91 destinations in North and Central America, Mexico, the Caribbean and Europe.
The new agreement also plans for the future of onboard retailing by creating an omnichannel roadmap that will allow WestJet to utilise the GuestLogix streaming inflight entertainment and connectivity (IFEC) portal to offer products and services accessible via passengers’ own devices.
GuestLogix says its Global Payment Gateway will facilitate the airline’s enhanced revenue protection. Also, the airline will be able to use GuestLogix’s Travel RPM (Retail Performance Management) consulting services to optimise and fine-tune its revenue potential.
The GuestLogix Ancillary Insights business intelligence platform will be deployed to enable WestJet’s advanced reporting and analysis. Finally, GuestLogix’s end-to-end retail solutions, including its Transaction Processing Engine (TPE), will support the airline’s omnichannel retailing initiatives.
