“We are aggressively growing our domestic network through 2015 with more WestJet and WestJet Encore service in eastern Canada, including the Toronto–Gander flight launching today,” remarked Bob Cummings, WestJet’s EVP sales, marketing and guest experience. “We are pleased to provide guests with lower fares, more flight options and greater connectivity across New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland into the wider WestJet network.”
Gander is WestJet’s third destination in Newfoundland. From 15 July, WestJet Encore will offer flights between Halifax and Gander, Deer Lake, St John's and Sydney.
