From 29 October 2015, Abbotsford will become the 12th Canadian city to have a nonstop service to Las Vegas as the result of a new twice-weekly route being introduced by WestJet.
Operating on Thursdays and Sundays, flights will depart Abbotsford at 11:54, arriving in Las Vegas at 14:25, before WestJet takes off on its return journey at 15:55 and touches down back at Abbotsford at 18:47 (all times local).
“With more than 80 weekly flights from a dozen Canadian cities, WestJet and WestJet Vacations are big players in Las Vegas,” explained John Weatherill, WestJet’s director of network and schedule planning. “In fact, we fly nearly one-third of all international guests into McCarran International Airport – more than one million in 2014 – and we're delighted to welcome guests from Abbotsford to the party.”
Serving Abbotsford since 1997, during the winter WestJet operates a total of approximately 60 non-stop flights per week to Calgary, Edmonton, Puerto Vallarta and now, Las Vegas.
