Available from 6 May for travel beginning 14 September, WestJet passengers who select the airline’s ‘Plus’ product will benefit from improvements including guaranteed empty middle seats on the airline’s Boeing 737NGs thanks to a new tray table between the aisle seat and window seat.
Furthermore, seats in Plus on WestJet's Boeing 767 aircraft will be wider than the airline's current seats, arranged in a 2-2-2 configuration.
WestJet is also upgrading meal options for Plus passengers to include a premium boxed meal on longer 737 flights and premium hot meals served on 767 flights, both with complimentary alcoholic beverages.
“With our growing network of nearly 100 destinations, ever-improving flight schedule and loyalty benefits offered to WestJet Rewards members, we are well positioned to meet the needs of travellers who are always on the go,” stated Bob Cummings, WestJet’s EVP sales, marketing and guest experience. “I encourage travellers to compare Plus fares against business class fares on other airlines. Guests will find Plus fares are up to 75% lower than what you might pay elsewhere, and represents exceptional value for business and leisure travellers.”
