WestJet has launched a new weekly seasonal service between Calgary and Loreto, Mexico, with the outbound flight departing Calgary at 09:00, whilst the return flight leaves Loreto at 13:50.
Loreto is WestJet's eighth destination in Mexico, and is known for its scenery and eco-tourism activities. The airline also serves Cabo San Lucas, Cancun (and the Mayan Rivera), Cozumel, Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo, Manzanillo, Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta with a total of more than 120 flights per week from 19 Canadian gateways during the peak winter travel season.
“Today's launch is further evidence of our longstanding commitment to provide safe, friendly and affordable air travel to Mexico,” commented Chris Avery, VP network planning, alliances and corporate development for WestJet. “We flew more than one million seats in and out of Mexico in 2014 and this year, we'll increase that capacity even further. As trusted brands, WestJet and WestJet Vacations are proud to be the choice of hundreds of thousands of Canadians who travel to Mexico each year.”
Loreto is one of more than 40 WestJet destinations in Canada, the US, Mexico and the Caribbean currently available on a non-stop basis from Calgary International Airport.
