WestJet has entered into a codeshare agreement with Philippine Airlines (PAL) allowing the latter to begin marketing and selling WestJet-operated flights.
The deal builds on an existing interline agreement that has been in place since May 2013. Codeshare designations will be available on select WestJet flights from Vancouver and Toronto, and all codeshare sales are offered directly through Philippine Airlines or its global distribution network.
"WestJet is proud to welcome guests travelling between Canada and the Philippines thanks to a new codeshare agreement with Philippine Airlines," declared Chris Avery, WestJet vice-president, network planning, alliances, and corporate development. "Travellers will enjoy the WestJet experience on flights to 37 Canadian destinations as well as convenient connections across our network."
This announcement means WestJet has 13 codeshare agreements plus 27 interline relationships.
