A new codeshare between Qantas and WestJet means that from 15 October, Qantas passengers will have access to more than 20 new routes to and within Canada.
Destinations included in the codeshare include Winnipeg, Saskatoon, Halifax and Montreal, amongst others.
“This is great news for our customers who will enjoy the benefits of travelling on a Qantas flight number right through to their final destination in Canada with baggage checked through and more opportunities to earn frequent flyer points,” said Stephen Thompson, executive manager of international sales for Qantas.
As a result of the new codeshare agreement, passengers flying on Qantas services to LA and Honolulu will be able to connect to WestJet’s flights to Canada’s key domestic hubs (Vancouver, Calgary and Edmonton) within four hours.
