tDale Tinevez is to join Wasaya as the airline’s vice-president of operations and chief operating officer.tTinevez is joining Wasaya after 15 years with WestJet, which he joined shortly after it was founded in 1996 and served as the airline’s VP guest services.
“Dale is a fantastic addition to our executive team and will bring the focus needed to enhance operational performance, lift our guest experience and enhance cargo customer service. He is a strategic thinker and leader with a track record including contributions to the foundation of one of Canada’s most respected aviation brands and iconic corporate cultures,” commented Michael Rodyniuk, Wasaya’s president and CEO.
“Attracting a strong, world-class executive like Dale is testament to our successful turnaround and strong corporate vision,” continued Rodyniuk. “The former WestJetter will lead day-to-day operations of the airline, committed to safe, reliable, cost-effective air transportation services with a focus on First Nations opportunity, and now, clearly, guest experience.”
Tinevez joins WestJet alumni Stephen Smith, former WestJet president and CEO, who now occupies the role of vice chairman of Wasaya’s board of directors; and Michael Rodyniuk, former WestJet director of revenue for WestJet and now president and CEO of Wasaya.
