Vueling to use Accelya REVERA NEXT PRA to go hybrid

Vueling has selected Accelya to help the airline comply with new industry rules and regulations as a result of its significant network expansion and growing passenger volumes.

The airline describes itself as “going hybrid”, offering traditional network services at low-fare prices. The success of a recent change in business model, which included increasing interline agreements and distribution through travel agencies, is one reason behind Vueling’s decision to evolve its business.

Josep Mauri, head of administration and revenue accounting for Vueling, remarked, “Accelya is an expert in airline financial solutions and has been our service provider for sales audit, card management and interline billing. When we decided to go hybrid, we found REVERA NEXT to be the best solution for our requirements.”

Accelya will deploy its REVERA NEXT PRA service to manage Vueling’s passenger revenue accounting. It will also help the airline to integrate REVERA NEXT PRA with its passenger service system, Navitaire Open Skies.
