Vueling’s App for smartphones has been updated to enable users (both Android and IOS) to buy tickets across the company’s three price bands – ‘Basic’, ‘Óptima’ and ‘Excellence’ – thus adding the latter pair to the App alongside the Basic offering.
The ‘Optima’ bracket includes one piece of checked luggage up to 23 kg, seat selection in the back rows and the option of gaining points through the Punto or Iberia Plus tariffs. ‘Excellence’ allows more flexibility to change and cancel flights as well as get a refund. With each traveller having different needs, the ‘mixed tariff’ option offers the possibility of buying more than one, so users can combine tariffs for return trips.
As well as improved usability, the new version of the Vueling App guides the user during the ticket selection process, allowing them to compare prices and conditions and filtering results by cost, duration, departure and arrival time and direct and indirect options. If there are no flights available that meet their criteria, the App will, within a set time frame, automatically show the next available flight. Up until now, this process had to be done manually.
