BOC Aviation has announced that Volaris, a new customer for the lessor, has agreed to lease four new Airbus A320-200s which will be delivered by May 2014.
Volaris has grown from an initial fleet of four aircraft in 2006 to a fleet of 44 aircraft today. The airline operates flights to 33 Mexican domestic destinations and 12 United States cities.
“Volaris has come a long way in a short time, and these lease agreements with BOC Aviation show how much further we want to go to expand our network and serve the growing numbers of customers,’’ said Fernando Suarez, chief financial officer of Volaris. “We are pleased to get the support we need from a leading global aircraft lessor to underpin our network expansion.”
