Volaris has announced its first two routes to Guatemala City from Cancun and Guadalajara, which will begin on 18 June each with an initial frequency of twice a week.
Volaris reports that it selected Guatemala as its first destination in the Central American region to initiate operations because of the country's significant growth potential and a strong demand for low-cost air travel services.
"I am very proud to announce that for the first time, Volaris will land in Central America," said Enrique Beltranena, Volaris CEO. "Not only do we reiterate solid growth for our airline, but also a firm commitment towards our customers, to provide them with greater air connectivity and the lowest fares available in the market."
Flights between Guadalajara and Guatemala will operate on Thursdays and Sundays. Departure from Guadalajara is at 12:23, with arrival in Guatemala at 13:45. In the opposite direction, flights leave Guatemala at 05:50, touching down in Guadalajara at 09:25.
Between Cancun and Guatemala, also operating on Thursdays and Sundays, flights leave Guatemala at 15:05, arriving in Cancun at 17:45. From Cancun, push back is at 19:15, with arrival in Guatemala at 19:48.
