Volaris grows November traffic by 25% y-o-y

Volaris’ passenger numbers have grown by 24.7% from 848,000 in November 2014 to 1,057,000 in November 2015, with the airline seeing a 39.1% increase in international travel year-over-year in comparison to 21.7% domestic passenger growth.However, due to a 30.2% increase in available seat-miles (ASMs) from 940,000,000 to 1,224,000,000 against a 25.9% increase in revenue passenger miles (RPMs) from 795,000,000 to 1,001,000,000 across the same respective periods, Volaris’ load factor actually decreased by 2.8 percentage points from 84.6% in November 2014 to 81.8% in November 2015. Once again, the majority of growth occurred on international routes, where ASMs and RPMs rose by 42.3% and 36.4% respectively.For the eleven months ended November 2015, Volaris’ load factor stands at 81.9%, which is 0.3 percentage points lower than the 82.2% recorded the previous year. ASMs and RPMs have grown more evenly across these two periods, with the former increasing by 18.9% to 12,644,000,000 and the latter rising by 18.4% to 10,357,000,000 in comparison with the eleven month to November 2014.
