VivaColombia has extended its contract with AJW Aviation for the provision of component power-by-the-hour-type support for the carrier’s fleet of A320s, which is planned to grow to 10 aircraft by the end of 2015.
AJW has supported the airline’s A320 aircraft since 2012 with components from its Miami based operation which comprises service-ready Airbus component inventories. A Main Base Kit is already located in Medellin as well as consignment stock leased via AJW Leasing.
“AJW already supports several airlines with lease, pooling and PBH-type solutions,” noted Christopher Whiteside, president of AJW Group. “We are delighted to support VivaColombia with its plans to vigorously develop its route network and we will do everything we can to help the airline meet its objectives. We also provide PBH-type services to its sister airline VivaAerobus in Mexico, and we are keen to maximise the cost benefits and efficiencies that AJW can deliver right across Central and South America. This is backed up by our component repair facility, AJW Technique, in Montreal enabling us to deliver outstanding dispatch reliability.”
