VivaAerobus will continue its ongoing international expansion with the launch of a new route to Chicago from Monterrey beginning on 14 October.
Flights are scheduled to service the route directly between Monterrey to Chicago Midway Airport. Initially, the schedule will be twice a week on Mondays and Fridays, leaving Monterrey at 11:15 and arriving in Chicago at 14:50. The return flight will take off from Midway at 15:50 and get back to Monterrey at 19:25 (all times local).
From 11 November the service, though still on Mondays and Fridays only, will switch to an earlier operation. Flights will depart Monterrey at 6:15 and reach Chicago Midway at 09:50. In the opposite direction, push back at Chicago will be at 10:50 will arrival in Monterrey at 14:25 (again, all times local).
"Our arrival in Chicago is part of our international expansion plan here in the US. Offering our service to this city’s market represents a great opportunity for VivaAerobus," commented Roberto Valdez, the airline’s commercial director. VivaAerobus has been reaching the US market since 2009 and with the new Chicago route, now services three international destinations on its roster.
