Mexican low-fare carrier Viva Aerobus has selected MRO IT specialist Swiss AviationSoftware (Swiss-AS) to replace the airline’s legacy system with its AMOS software solution.
The software evaluation took place in the context of Viva Aerobus’ strategy to become customer-centric as well as continuing to offer competitive prices in the Mexican market. This initiative also included the modernization of the airline’s IT systems.

Swiss-AS said the airline’s evaluation team “understood that AMOS can support them to further reduce cost in aircraft maintenance and many examples from the AMOS community have shown that AMOS is the right choice when it comes to extensive fleet growth. Viva Aerobus operates 25 Airbus A320s, including two A320neos, on 91 routes to 37 destinations. Swiss-AS, 100%-owned by Swiss International Air Lines, has more than 160 customers worldwide.
