Virgin America reports May 2015 traffic stats

May 2015 saw Virgin America reveal a decrease of 0.3% in revenue passenger miles (RPMs) to 898,982,000 in comparison to 901,267,000 in May 2014 despite there being no change in available seat miles (ASMs) across the two respective periods.
This resulted in the load factor also shrinking – by 0.3 percentage points – from 84.5% in May 2014 to 84.2% for the same month this year.
However, the number of onboard passengers increased by 4.2% to 602,000 in May 2015 from 578,000 in May 2014.
