Vietjet to launch Ho Chi Minh City–Hong Kong route

From 9 December 2016, Vietjet will operate a daily service between Hong Kong and Ho Chi Minh City.The new route marks Vietjet’s first frequent service to Hong Kong and increases the carrier’s total frequent routes between Vietnam and China to nine.The Ho Chi Minh City–Hong Kong leg will take off at 14:35 and land at 18:20, before the return service departs at 19:20 to arrive back in Ho Chi Minh City at 21:05. With a flight time of 2 hours 45 minutes, the new route will depart daily from Hong Kong at 19:20 and arrive at 21:05. The return leg from Ho Chi Minh City will take off at 14:35 and land at Hong Kong International Airport at 18:20 (all local times).“Asia is poised to be the biggest aviation market in the world and more than 50% of the world’s population lives within a radius of 2,500 miles from Vietjet’s current bases,” Vietjet’s president and CEO, Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao (pictured), remarked. “At Vietjet our mission is to make air travel accessible to everyone and a more popular means of transportation.
