Vietjet Air has performed the first flight on its new route connecting Yangon with Ho Chi Minh City, a service which it will operate with five return flights a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Nguyen Thi Thuy Binh, vice-president of Vietjet, commented, “The new route from Ho Chi Minh City to Yangon will bring Myanmar and Vietnam people opportunities to visit and discover these two countries’ incredible culture and breathtaking landscapes. It will also increase mutual trade exchange and investment between enterprises and investors.
“We hope that Vietjet’s safe flights, high-quality services, affordable ticket pricing, not to mention all the special surprises onboard, will continue to please all of our valued passengers,” she added.
To meet the demand, Vietjet has received its newest A320, which landed at Ho Chi Minh City’s Tan Son Nhat International Airport. The aircraft is the 28th in the fleet, and also the ninth of the milestone agreement between Vietjet and Airbus for acquisition and leasing 100 aircraft initally announced at the Singapore Airshow in 2014..
