Vector Aerospace Engine Services UK is now fully authorised to service Honeywell’s ALF 502 and LF 507 engines (which feature on BAe 146 and Avro RJ aircraft) under a licence agreement signed with the OEM.
The agreement includes a Honeywell parts supply arrangement and a licence to provide engine overhaul and repair services.
“Vector Aerospace’s maintenance presence in Europe provides operators with an expanded choice of service providers for this regional platform,” explained Mike Madsen, vice-president of airlines for Honeywell Aerospace. “This agreement provides both reliability and value through the use of genuine Honeywell parts.”
As mentioned, Honeywell’s ALF 502 and LF 507 engines are installed on BAE Systems BAe 146s, Avro RJ100s and Avro RJ85s. More than 200 aircraft are currently in service worldwide with more than 60 operators.
Tim Rice, managing director of Vector Aerospace UK, commented, “Adding the licence to provide engine overhaul and repair services to the Honeywell ALF 502 and LF 507 engines to Vector’s product portfolio is an important milestone in expanding our presence and customer support capability both regionally and internationally. Vector has identified this market as a strategic growth opportunity and has placed significant focus and investment in developing our capability to support ALF 502 and LF 507 operators.”
