Piedmont Airlines’ flight attendants, represented by the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA), have voted in favour of a new contract that includes pay increases and work rule improvements for the carrier’s nearly 200 flight attendants.
The agreement was reached with the assistance of the National Mediation Board (NMB).
“Through unity and determination, Piedmont flight attendants have a new contract that reflects some of our top priorities. The professional contributions of Piedmont flight attendants have been crucial in creating opportunities within the new American Airlines network. We look forward to our future at the world’s largest airline,” commented Anita Jwanouskos, AFA Piedmont president.
Piedmont, a wholly owned subsidiary of the new American Airlines, is the only carrier at Salisbury-Wicomico Regional, Hilton Head Island, and Tweed New Haven Airports. Piedmont flight attendants fly out of domiciles in Charlottesville, VA; Harrisburg, PA; New Bern, NC; Roanoke, VA and Salisbury, MD.
