US Airways has announced combined November 2013 traffic figures for its wholly-owned subsidiaries, Piedmont Airlines and PSA Airlines, both of which operate under the US Airways Express banner.
Revenue passenger miles (RPMs) totalled 179,880,000, compared with 215,756,000 in November 2012, a drop of 16.6%. Available seat miles (ASMs) were cut by 11.1% to 245,372,000 from last November’s 276,077,000.
The load factor consequently fell by 4.9 percentage points to 73.3% from 78.2. The two airlines jointly carried 613,743 passengers, 14.3% fewer than the 716,360 passengers carried in November 2012.
